River Rafting - Wild or Scenic
Posted On 10/22/2011 18:47:00 by GrapevineTravelAdventures

Most everyone has heard of white water rafting.  Those who like a bit of adventure have a great time splashing through bumps and dips in the wild waters of river rapids. What about rafting for people who prefer a quieter ride?  It does exist, in the form of scenic river floats.  Many people find a day on the river quite enjoyable, whether a wet and wild white water adventure or a serene scenic float.   White Water Rafting on Washington's Wenatchee River  ... High Country Pack Trip
Posted On 08/21/2011 22:01:11 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Imagine riding a horse through snow on a warm sunny day in August.  This may sound like an impossible contradiction, but I did just that on a high country pack trip with Icicle Outfitters & Guides of Washington State.

Icicle Outfitters offers everything from day rides near Leavenworth and at Lake Wenatchee State Park, to drop camps where they pack in gear for hikers or hunters, to full service pack trips.  In the winter they even have sleigh rides.

Resurrection of a Ship, Birth of a Company
Posted On 07/12/2011 19:07:09 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
One small ship cruise line goes under.  Most people would have seen their ships as fodder for the scrap yard.  Dan Blanchard of American Safari Cruises saw them as the means to start a new company.  With the complete overhaul of two ships formerly of Glacier Bay, InnerSea Discoverieswas born, a small-ship cruise line with a taste for adventure and exploration of wild places.   The first time I saw the Wilderness Discoverer she sat high and dry in a shipyard in Seattle. Could Raspberries Help to Fight Off Cancer? Daily Mail 02-07-11 RASPBERRIES might prove a future tool in the fight against cancer. New research reveals that extracts of the summer fruit kill stomach and colon cancer cells. In a preliminary study, 90 per cent of these cells were destroyed when exposed to an extract of red Meeker raspberries, a popular variety in the U.S.. Antioxidants in the fruit were also shown to kill breast cancer cells. The researchers, from Clemson Universi... Read More

End times Predictions

A certain radio station constantly dwells on this subject. Sometimes, it is just plain hilarious to listen to their extensive and convoluted  analysis. The analysis though not logical,  plainly reduces the time of Christ's coming to esoteric arithmetic.

Sometimes, I only wonder what the motive for this apparent misinformation could be because, the people who espouse these ideas do not sound ignorant to me yet, their views are anything but logical.

If this arithm... Read More

Just the way I am.

It,s great to live in rural Idaho. This is an irrigated area along the Snake river. I live at the edge of the irrigated land and the desert or seeding is only a half a mile away. This is the best of both worlds. I can ride from the pasture/corrals to the desert on my riding mule and roam vast stretches.  Those that do not live in areas with government lands miss the opportunities to use them. Idaho is almost half government lands and it is open for use to the public. We (my wife and I and u... Read More

4.16 Kroger
4.07 Speedway
Same corner. Why?
And the funny thing about it nobody was in the BP lot just the Kroger lot.  Do they not understand the even with the 10 cent discount they are still paying more than BP?
Why?
